I Am Powerful!
Author Unknown

I am very powerful!
Whatever I set my mind on having, I will have.
Whatever I decide to be, I will be.
The evidence is all around me.
The power of my will has brought me precisely to where I am right now.
I have made the choices. I have held the thoughts.
I have taken the actions to create my current reality.
And I have the power to change it into whatever I want it to be.
With the choices I make, I am constantly fulfilling the vision I have for my life.
If that does not seem to be the case —
then I am deceiving myself about what I really want.
Because what I really, truly want, I will get!
What I truly wanted in the past, I already have.
If I want to build a billion-dollar business, I will take the actions necessary to do it.
If I want to sit comfortably watching TV night after night —
I will take the actions necessary for that.
Don’t be disappointed in my results —
they’re just the outward manifestation of my priorities.
I will be sure of what I truly want,
because I am sure to get it!

Twenty Dollars
Author Unknown

A well known speaker started off his seminar by holding up a $20 bill. In the room of 200, he asked. "Who would like this $20 bill?"

Hands started going up. He said, "I am going to give this $20 to one of you – but first, let me do this."

He proceeded to crumple the 20 dollar note up. He then asked. "Who still wants it?" Still the hands were up in the air.

"Well," he replied, "what if I do this?" He dropped it on the
ground and started to grind it into the floor with his shoe. He picked it up, now crumpled and dirty. "Now, who still wants it?"

Still the hands went into the air.

"My friends, you have all learned a very valuable lesson. No
matter what I did to the money, you still wanted it because it did not decrease in value. It was still worth $20.
Many times in our lives, we are dropped, crumpled, and ground into the dirt by the decisions we make and the circumstances that come our way. We feel as though we are worthless; but no matter what happened or what will happen, you will never lose your value.

Dirty or clean, crumpled or finely creased, you are still
priceless to those who love you. The worth of our lives comes, not in what we do or who we know, but by …WHO WE ARE.

You are special – don’t ever forget it."

THE WORLDS SMARTEST MAN

A minister, a boy scout, and a computer executive were the only passengers on a plane.  The pilot came back and said that the plane was going down but there were only three parachutes and four people.

The pilot said, "I should have one because I have a wife and three small children" and he jumped.

The computer executive said, "I should have one of the parachutes because I am the smartest man in the world and they still need me."  He jumped.

The minister turned to the Boy Scout and said with a sad smile "You are young and I have lived a good life, so you take the parachute and I’ll go down with the plane."

The Boy Scout said, "Relax reverend, the smartest man in the world just picked up my knapsack and jumped out of the plane."

THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX

A golfer is standing at a beautiful par five hole at the St. Simon Island Golf Club.  He hits a perfect approach shot.  As the golfer walks up over a knoll in front of the green, he can’t find the ball.  After further searching, he sees the ball has rolled into a paper bag on the side of the green.  So what does he do?

Take a stroke and remove the ball from the bag.

Give it a good, old-fashioned whack.

Wait and hope the wind blows the bag away from the ball.

None of the above!

Instead he takes out a match and burns the bag.

He’s an outside the box thinker.

SEA CAPTAIN

A ship was headed to its destination and it saw a light in the distance. The Captain of the ship radioed ahead and said, "We are headed your way. Change your course 10 degrees south."
The signal came back, "You change 10 degrees north." The captain signaled, "I am the captain, you change your course 10 degrees south." The signal came back, "I am a seaman first class. You change10 degrees north." The captain radios back, "I am the Captain of the mighty battleship, the U.S.S. Missouri; you change your course 10 degrees south." The signal came back, "I am in a lighthouse. You might want to change 10 degrees north."

Point: Everybody wants the
 other person to change.
 Sometimes we need to change
 ourselves. If we do, everything
 else might change with it.

Critical Points: A lot of times
we want our boss to change,
 economy, recession, good or bad
"we want the world to change."
We need to become the captain of
our own things, maybe change the
way we do things, change our
attitude, or the way we look at
 things.

ONE AT A TIME

A friend of ours was walking down a deserted Mexican beach at sunset.  As he walked along, he began to see another man in the distance.  As he grew nearer, he noticed that the local native kept leaning down, picking something up and throwing it out into the water.  Time and again he kept hurling things out into the ocean.

As our friend approached even closer, he noticed that the man was picking up starfish that had been washed up on the beach and, one at a time, he was throwing them back into the water.

Our friend was puzzled.  He approached the man and said:  "Good evening, friend.   I was wondering what you are doing."

"I’m throwing these starfish back into the ocean.  You see its low tide right now and all of these starfish have been washed up onto the shore.  If I don’t throw them back into the sea, they’ll die up here from lack of oxygen."

"I understand," my friend replied, "but there must be thousands of starfish on this beach.  You can’t possibly get to all of them.  There are simply too many.  And don’t you realize that this is probably happening on hundreds of beaches all up and down this coast?  Can’t you see that you can’t possibly make a difference?"

The local native smiled, bent down and picked up yet another starfish, and as he threw it back into the sea, he replied:  "Made a difference to that one!"

Point:  We can make a difference in the world by making a difference in the lives of others.
