Save a Mother Fundraiser
Dear Friends and family,
I have not talked too many of you in a long time, and for those of you who remember, I was involved heavily into promoting Souith Asian events and parties. While those times were fun, I had always wanted to create more meaningful get togethers for my loved ones to network, socialize and do good. I am happy to say, I have found that event with the help of my great friends Deep Singh of Bombay Palace and Ashish Wahi of Tristate Employment (as well as the founders of Save a Mother)
On Saturday, March 27th at Bombay Palace (8690 Wilshire Blvd, Beverly Hills), we will be having a fundraiser for Save A Mother which is primarilly a health literacy organization focused on reducing the death rate of poor would-be mothers in India. Their education covers pre-natal to adolescent and includes all basic health care needs, like nutrition and hygiene. They have trained 1000 women in the UP area of India with 600 designated as their activists, which is roughly equivalent to 600 villages. The founders of the organization will be there to give you a brief overview as to what they are accomplishing, and I truly believe they are doing amazing work. Please attend even if its for 30 minutes.
So what can you do? Actually, its quite easy. Come to Bombay Palace on Saturday (suggested donation $15), buy a drink (buy 1 get 1 free from 10pm to 11:30), eat complimentary appetizers (courtesy of Bombay Palace) and network/socialize while learning about Save A Mother, and then finally listen to great music till 2am.. When was the last time we saw each other? Use this event as an excuse to catch up and learn or just have a great time.
